Rainbow Bay, Coolangatta
Rainbow Bay is one of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful beaches; a tranquil, picturesque cove nestled between two rocky outcrops – Greenmount Headland and Snapper Rocks.
Snapper Rocks is home to the world-famous ‘Super Bank’, regarded in surfing circles as the longest, most consistent and most hollow wave in the world and hosts elite surfing events such as the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro’s annually. On any given day, here you will find some of the world’s best surfers out in the water.
There are a variety of things to do at Rainbow Bay and the surrounding region that will appeal to all manner of interests. You can partake in anything from the less strenuous activities such as lawn bowls and leisurely beach walks to activities that require more exertion and a spirit of adventure such as snorkelling or fishing.
Rainbow Bay is a popular swimming beach for families and children, providing a sheltered cove for one and all, especially with the beach patrolled all year round.
